if you look at the foreground longer, you will see his reflection which is kind of cool. i agree as far as the composition is concerned but the reflection is interesting. i'm on the fence about that

By far your finest work, R. Though I agree about the white pillar shape in the background, that's a quibble compared to the other compositional strengths, tonal range, and superb expression. Bravo! Great to see you posting again.

I really like this so much. It's so crisp, the lighting is flawless and Vince is adorable. I like the tint you have chosen as well. It works so well. Some people go with sepia or something with a cast to it. This is just perfect. The only MINOR thing about it is the white area that seems to come from his head. A judge in my photo club would have something to say about that. It doesn't bother me. It's just that I learned from these people.
