Thanks for that, Huub. I did reply to it a couple of times before, but something odd happened to the comment! I went to the site you mentioned and found an impressive range there - much more than exists in my modest 'church shots'.
Have a good Christmas and best wishes for 2006 if we don't 'speak' before then.

I guess mostly the four quartets, yes... it is my favourite Eliot work, although I like the journey of the Magi and the Hippopotamus very much too! Quite fond of Alec Guiness reading Eliots poetry on record, that is the main way I really got to like Eliot.
but "Then July broke in, bringing my birthday like fertilizing rains" reminds me of "April is the cruellest month..."
He's by far not the worst influence to have... (such an understatement)
I really do like the linking of image and word, I try to do that in my art too... and the main opportunity for improvement there maybe in your photographs (IMHO). So I do find it more worthwile to comment on your work...

Which Eliot poem did it remind you of? 'Four Quartets'? Not deliberately based on Eliot, I have to say - though (like everyone else 30-odd years or more ago) I have to acknowledge him as a big influence on the way I write.
I take the point about the poetry and the picture - much as I like photography, and appreciate the expertise of those who are exceptionally good at it, my first love is word-play of various kinds.
Thanks for commenting, anyway, Huub. Much appreciated!

The subject of the picture is nice, the picture is not bad, but the poetry says more that thousand images.... but I remember that I may be repeating myself, something I may have said about the words describing the spirit-houses... great. The poem (on your webside makes me think of TS Elliot
