ok, i'll drop my mask... i've got an eos 350d, not a 20d... ( ) my camera isn't included in usefilm's list and i'm veeery lazy, so i've picked the nearest choice... anyway my settings should fit your camera (which is, more or less, the magnesium body version of mine...).
i've got an Hoya R72 (58mm), quite inexpensive and practical... i did this shot (as most of my IR shots) without a tripod, so the exposure time was approx. between 1/10 - 1/30 sec, with 3.5F and ISO 1600...

What great depth! A very inviting image. Color adds greatly to it. As a 20D user I would like to know specifics of filter, exposure.

What i ment was that this shot has a atmosphere of a coming catastrophe, disaster - something are happening.... a birth or a death - the beginning or the end! So you intention succeded in some way, even a "birth" are caotic ;)
