Excellent capture of this nice flower ,great color,I think that in order to reduce the brightness you can use EV -.0.3 or a little more

Wonderful Photograph Gordon, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. I don't know what your settings were but i suggest shooting flowers in bright sun with the ISO set to 50 or 100 and maybe reducing exposure bias a point or two...
