About This is Jorge, a friend from work. of course here we were not working but discussing deep existential themes like football, life, etc.

Shot with my Nikkor 300/4.5 EDIF AI, handheld, at around 250/8. At first this is not a lens you'd think of for portraits but its color rendition and sharpness are so fine I'm thinking of it more and more.

How come at f/8.0 the background is so out of focus? He was close for the focal range, about 4 meters.
