I speak fluent chicken. I'm living on a farm right now with 60 chickens, 20 batams and 4 geese. :) I'm still trying to work out the psychology. This is a wonderful image. Looks like another postcard shot. Very neat and clean. I enjoy the lack of clutter in your iamges very much. Great work and story. Cheers - Ann :)

Too funny, except for the death part of course. I'm laughing at the chicken's name too because we have a cat and her name is kitty. Pretty original too 'huh!

Coool! Super presentation. the shot on the right is fabulous...i love the regal strut you caught---leg up, looking at the camera.
only one problem...i now have a face associated with the phrase "tastes like Chicken"...it will forever be spelled with a capital "C"

This is a great collage, and a great story behind it, Janet! Sorry to hear of Chicken's untimely demise, though :( And just image getting such good eye focus on a chicken as you did in the other shot!!! This is great, Janet...love it! Kathy

No more crazy than I for posting it at 1 a.m.!!
They are pretty brainless! The first shot was when my daughter walked away and it frantically searched for her after it realized she moved! And hard little buggers to photograph, they never quit moving their heads.
Sorry to hear your chicken passed as well...she looked to be a good egglayer!

HaHaHaHaHaHaaaahohoheeeeeeee.....
Oh Janet, I'm deeply honored! Thank you! Such inspiration! Hahaha!
In the first (left) shot you've really captured the expressive intelligence of a chicken. Any behavior must be instinct because I swear, they have no brains. The photo on the right bears this out, as the little bugger appears to be "thinking" about having a peck at your daughter's sock.
No brains, however, they are funny and they make the best eggs!
I would pass on the honors to my chicken but, uh, what can I say but that she was a tough old gal.
lol
Thanks -Kes
