:), Not questioning your bird ID's,just trying to learn. I'm a relatively new birder and am trying to learn proper ID's . With the red gorget, he just looked like a ruby to me, I will definately look into my books and get this straight:)

No, Jim it is an Anna. This is one of the few times I got the red shot. I hardly ever get that with him. He is a pet. I see him everyday running off everybody else. Like many of us he chases away all who would get near him good or bad. A true king always alone-Rich

Very nice Rich, I love the dof as well as the secular highlight above the hummers head. It really emphasizes the birds eye. Good work and welcome to usefilm.

PS: Are you sure thats an Anna and not a Ruby Throated? Now I'm from the East coast and dont even know if Ruby throateds go out west but he sure looks like one of ours:) Take a look at my portfolio and let me know what you think.
