Wow Larry! This is definitely the best yet! A spectacular explosion of colour and pyrotechnics! Did I mention the reflection, composition and exposure? A perfect fireworks shot! Dave. PS - I like it!

Thanks Den...and thanks for the Owl...I think I'll save it away...check out the camera setting I used..If I remember right your shooting a D70...and somewhere around 1/30 1/40 seems to be just right with the 18-70 kit lens.....I look forward to seeing your catch!.....ps your right to regular UF gaggle seems to be pretty scarce

Hi Larry, I'm like Larry Quigley. I only seem to be able to snatch a few minutes on UF at a time just lately and I'm miles behind with viewings and comments. Seems a lot of people are int the same boat, must some kind of bug going around. However I've just viewed this series of firework shots from you and I have to say they are magnificent. I believe it to be a difficult subject to photograph successfully but you have certainly mastered the art. I'm going to give it a go this coming Nov 5th when we celebrate Guy Fawkes. Congrats on a great series. In one one of your recent kind comments you mentioned your affection for owls. Well just for you, here's another one pic from last weekend. This is of a Barred Owl. I think the name comes from the fact that the coloured tips of the feathers form horizontal lines rather than vertical lines on his chest. Hope you like it. Den
