Absolutely not - sorry if that is how it came across. I really like this image and approach, just need the opportunity to experiment on a similar vein. Plenty of rain here, but not much access to blooms at the moment

Hi Cary,
I mean that I use your idea for my next set of florals - I really like the isolation of the bloom against the background. That's what's great about usefilm - seeing others work / helpful comments and translating it into something that works for me.
Plagiaristic - I use your idea / technique for my picture without crediting you, because 1) it is for my own pleasure and 2) because it's impossible to remember all the good ideas that one picks up here (and allocate credit accordingly). It is like plagiarism but not quite so heinous as the finger on the trigger, after all, will have been mine.

Huw, thank youfor your comment, but just what do you mean about plagiaristic?

wow - this is almost abstract. The large aperture has created a tight area of focus, but that really seems to pull you in. The only concern is that the whiteness of the flower seems to flatten it - if there was some way to create a little more shadow behind the stamen you might be able to enhance the 3-D effect.
A very interesting and effective approach to florals. Always nice to get some fresh inspiration, even if it is a little bit plagiaristic.
Also, thanks for your comment
