Mon cher,
I have always loved the religious architecture. Designed to be awe-inspiring and focused upward, there is just something I find comforting about it. You call this an eerie sort of composition, I suppose that is why it is so grand. The colorized walk adds to the eye leading toward the steeple. Merci, merci!!
