About	Have always wanted to photograph this monument and finally today had my chance. About it: The culmination of thousands of hours of creativity and hard work is the larger-than-life (1 ? lifesize) monument at the Lely Resort entrance. The horses were fabricated in the Valley Bronze Foundry in Joseph, Oregon and are constructed of bronze weighing approximately 1 ton each. Horse models were brought into Veryl?s studio. In fact, the stallion model was Robert Redford?s favorite ?Rising Star,? the horse he rode in the movie ?The Electric Horseman.? Too bad the fountain wasn't working. Will go back another day.

How did they get a horse to pose like that while they sculpted it? Glad they did though. It's a really impressive image. Dynamic is the word, yeah.
