I think you did rather well with this one. I might have shot this looking down the beach with the footprints walking away from me along the shore. But this is a good image regardless of how you shot it, I like that you got down for the point of view (pov) Tell me are you the man that emailed me?

mundh - I dig this picture very much. I hope you will not be offended if I say this - and I certainly do not mean this to be insulting in any way at all, but your great image recalled this to me:

One Night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you you'd walk with me all the way, but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Wow.... this is not only a beautiful slice of creativity, it is very well composed! The balance is excellent, and the tones and exposure are commendable. ..Brad

Yes, that was the first thing I noticed too. Does not ruin the image though, but I would definitely prefer one direction!

Nice use of perspective, but i see the incoming waves crashed in on a detailed layout of footsteps that you might have created for this frame, am i right?
Otherwise a nice attempt and i guess you would definately succeed in time to get a perfect shot!
