Henk,,,for almost all of my macro shots I use a tripod, mirror lock up and an elecronic release. And yes it's outdoors. A lot of shots are missed due to wind, but that's just part of the game.
Beautiful shot. I like the color combination! Just a question (Hope you don't mind, I'm still learning and also want to make such very nice photos): Was this an inside photo (Outside I'm always having problems with the wind ) and did you use a tripod? My guess is yes, looking at the shutterspeed (I really need one).
