Interesting photo. Whenever you take a picture of someone with a dark complexion, you may want to try and avoid a contrasting white or light background such as this unless you have really good lighting eqipment. I say this because the white background makes his facial features hard to make out. His features are drowned out by the background which makes him appear extremely dark. An alternative is that you can use PS. Hope that you do not mind, I did some dodging to his face to help bring out is features better. By the way, great shot!
