About This is the second in my series and was taken this morning (8/23) about 6:30 am. Again I am trying to learn about the different settings on my new camera. Never did get the rain.

Janice, this is a beauty. The colours and silhouettes create a great mood. The trees look like sentinals all watching the sun glow through the trees giving a wonderful contrast to the darker clouds.

Thanks for commenting Susie - I haven't been to Hawaii since 1968, but I am sure that the water is still that incredible turq. blue and green. Really enjoyed the visit, but it only lasted 7 days because hubby had to go back to finish his tour of Viet Nam and I had to get back to D.C. and our (at that time) two children. One day we will go back and tour the outer islands. Jan

Thanks for commenting Lisa - It does look tropical, but much prefer seeing palms around an ocean and not in the middle of a desert. But I do enjoy seeing the sunrise and sunsets from our house. Jan

This reminds me of a sunset on Maui this spring. Love those silhouetted palms.

What beauty you have looking out of your back door. I like this image even better than your first - which I like alot. Looks like you are in some tropical setting - not Arizona.

OHHHHHHH I fibbed, I Like this one better then the sunset. I LOVEEEEEEEEE the way the sun is glowing up through the clouds and accentuating the fall of the rain on the bottom.
The Silhouettes are powerful and the cropping is spot on.
You shot and scored with this one 7++++++++++++
Thanks for sharing!

Thought about cropping that far left palm out - but decided to leave it in. Thanks for looking and commenting Ellen. Jan

This is another good one Jan. I might have gone either or with the last palm. You did this in the morning? Oh boy, well you'll get no competition from me there I'm still fast asleep at that hour. lol
