It is a great capture of flying, and it has also beautiful colors, but I miss something from the scene. Maybe a grabbed fish, or a few birds in the background. Beside this, I really appreciate your achievement. I can imagine how hard can be to capture a moment like this.
Regards! Istvan

You captured the bird in a graceful position, and it's a well composed frame. What ISO were you shooting at? The reason I ask is I see an uncharacteristically large amount of noise in the sky for having been shot with a 20d. This image would really come out in NeatImage. I think everyone working in any sort of digital whether scanning film or shooting digital should try this piece of software (no, I don't work for them). www.neatimage.com - there is a free demo which is fully functional, but not for commercial use, and there are levels of paid versions. I liked it so much I bought the full commercial version so I could use it for my stock work too.

Nicely captured. The blue sky really makes the Tern look like going to fly right off the screen. As they say, "One good Tern deserves another." :-) Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Beautiful capture of the tern, Icerock! Looks great against the blue sky, and you've got tremendous clarity and detail. Dave.
