About While I was trying to sneak up on a hummingbird earlier this evening - and he zoomed upward over our back yard wall and into the neighbor's yard so did my eyes zoom up. These are what met my eyes way up high and moving gently in the breeze. They looked so pretty against the rapidly darkening sky - I'm glad I had my camera. Tried to focus on the largest flower on the far right and blur the rest. A different kind of look from my bright bold and in your face recent shots huh? What do you think?

I know Ellen - I have to "hit the books again" and continue studying.

What a great composition Jan. I think you chose a difficult goal trying to get one in focus and the others out. But it worked... Try changing the focus mode, or metering I can't keep them straight. It's the icon that show a dot in the middle or a bracketed dot or a full square, change that and it will change what's in and out of focus. So much to remember.

Thanks Galal.Kind of like this (for me) change of pace. Would like to learn how to capture those soft florals. I am sure that it has a lot to do with your camera settings and especially lighting - how much and where it comes from. Jan
