Excelent macro Alison! This has it all - colour contrast, detail and composition. Well done getting such a great result from such a dificult subject (so easy to lose the details of the beetle by underexposing!)

I love the beautiful shiny greens of the beetle against that salmon color of the hibiscus! It looks like there might be another beetle in the folds beneath him.
