About
Some people once in a while ask about how much PS work I put into images. It depends. Here are two examples of the black canyon of the Gunnison I thought I'd share so you could see what happens after I take the shot. In Photoshop I tend to mask off individual parts of the shot using the quick mask mode and then apply levels to the zones. By masking individual pieces like the sky, foreground, and the different slopes of the canyon I got the image to pop a little more. You have to be subtle, or masking lines appear.

Who asked for them? J/K. I like this composition. Great work, Michael. Thanks, again, for indulging me. :)

Same kind of amount of work that I tend to do, though I use a bit of blended layers quite often. Nice exposition, Michael.

Morgan: Somebody with the initials ME kept asking me about how the photos changed, so I figured I'd post this for them...

First of all - Great group of shots, and second, this was a great idea. I love the before and after PS idea. Great work as always, Michael.
