Thanks, David. I tried a b&w conversion. It works ok but loses an important element, which is the colour from the light panels at the back.
Thanks for taking the time and giving a sugestion!

hi Angelo, came straight here from the forum! your shots are of a very high standard, I like this composition, the beautiful light in the window, the 'lines' leading to the chairs and the man in too much of a hurry to shine his shoes, all make for an engaging and well executed shot......I think it might lend itself well to black and white rendition, cheers, david.

The perspective of the floor add alot to the mood that made by the lighting and the big step of the man, v.good one ( just that am not sure about the need of the lighting line in the upper edge ). i can imagine what is like 2 wait some one 2 pass, in my photo " searching 4 a real girl " i had 2 wait so long , cuz all the ppl were waiting me or changing their ways in order not to bother me , they didn't know that i need one of them 2 pass 2 do my photo, ciao. omar

I think it was a wise decision to listen to your wife ;-) The windows colors and color temperature are too exciting to get lost with B&W.

Abbey Road meets Canary Wharf. This is just excellent Angelo, striking. The edge highlights mentioned by Danny don't detract for me but the strip of light at the very top I would clone or crop away. In truth though it's as nothing to the subject and the craft employed in bringing us such a shot. The word Shoe works wonderfully in making us concentrate on his shoes, and I wonder if his name might just be James! His stiff purposeful stride is an amazing caricature of the Abbey Road album. The timing is split second correct. Superb work. Ian

Thank you, Thilo.
The edited TIFF does have a channel mixer layer to do a b&w conversion, but I switched it off as I agree with my wife Jas that the colour from the lights was a nice feature of the image.
It is almost monochromatic anyway.

Hi Angelo,
fabulous work, my friend. I love these "cool background combined with a motion blurred pedestrian" shots a lot. maybe a bit scary on the geometry side (wide angle distorsions...), but nevertheless great. maybe a BW candidate?
best wishes, Thilo

Angelo, another fine pic. However I think I will stick my neck out and be the only one to talk about the ngative side. This has to do with a pet hate of mine which is "highlights on the edge of an image". On the uper right hand edge we have highlights which take my gaze completely out of the picture space. I believe that if these were taken down in ps you would be left with an outstanding image rather than just a good one.

This is lovely Angelo - I like being led in by the lines in the floor, I like the pin sharp silhouettes of the chairs, and the beautiful aqua backlighting that sets the mood for the scene. When I first looked, I thought you were stood in the doorway of an elevator - looking out - but then I realised it was the frame! Really beautiful.

Excellent shot Angelo. Love the black lines leading the eye into the image. The inclusion of the figure walking across the windows is excelent as it gve the image life and perspective. And that light throught the windows is superb!

I have a list when I shoot too so no worries about the rotating! ;)
I like this image simply because of the backlighting that just sets an incredible mood here, the sillouhettes of the chairs perfectly focused, and the lines on the floor leading up to them! The motion captured of the man walking in front of the chairs adds to this image as well, obviously with clean shoes because he didn't stop for a shine! ;) This is something that one must see in a big city, as it isn't something I se very often, except maybe in the movies. A shot well done! Congrats! :)

Not long, Kevin. It was a pretty busy walkway. I was worried about being spotted by security guards. I wanted only one person walking into the frame, so I stood there, composed and fired as soon as someone walked across. I liked this one best out of 4 attempts.

This is great - how long did you have to wait in the shadows to have the perfect man pass before you? Great placement. I agree with the color choice - in BW you would have lost the great aqua tones in the glass. K
