I like this one a lot, too, Marion! I understand what Hugo is saying - for me it's the particular pattern of the background on the previous one that worked so nicely. The angle from which you shot this one is perfect to follow the saint's gaze... (how does he do that with his left hand, though - I tried and it hurts! :)

Thanks for your honest comment, Hugo! It was difficult to get the same light background (the chapel was rich in decorations) and at the same time emphesize the hands which intrigued me most. Not to mention the low light and having no tripod!!! :-)

Thank you, Sofia! :-) Yes, my attention was caught by the hands and faces of these statues, very dramatic I think.

I really like this kind of angles, it does make a more interesting picture (for me at least). Very dramatic statue as well

Hi Marion, Compared to the previous one, I think this photo doesn't quite match the way the first one managed to intrigue me. Although I'm usually a fan of these angles, and, admittedly, it does work in this composition too in making it less static, I think the combination of statue and the subtle base reliefs in the ceiling is a little less coherent. Nonetheless, a good angle, and a well captured shot.
Cheers,
Hugo
