Hard to decide which format but as I always vere towards the close crop I have chosen the portrait,both are great taken in that lovely magic light,good composition and nice lead into the light on the side of the boat.Nice work. Micky

Thanks for the comments - I've posted a landscape orientation version which has the complete Opera House included. I'm not sure which I prefer, I kind of like the extra rigging in the portrait version. I had a quick go at combining the two but my Photoshop skills aren't up to merging graduating light very well.

Fantastic! Lots of my favourites in one image - Silhouettes, sunset, classic sailing ship and the wonderful Sydney Opera House.
Great depth of field.

Hi Bruce,good lighting & colours,especially like the light on the side of the boat casting its reflection on the water,nice!Opera House silhouette is great but have to agree with Carsten,if you had been slightly more to the left you might've got more of it in without compromising the ship.:)
