I love the 100mm macro lens! You used it well to isolate the anthers. It looks like they are floating in a bright yellow medium.
Did you shoot any with a slightly deeper DOF in which all the anthers are sharp?
This is my favorite kind of macro. Well done!

I think it would be cool in B&W too - love the color of the yellow, it's very nicely captured and the detail in the pollen is making me sneeze... :)

Hello Samuel, i saw you through the frond page as 'latest donor'. This picture somewhere different from the most macro shot. That why i like it so mutch. To yellow colour is just perfect, excellent! REally an amazing job, the sharpness of the three plumes in the middle, and the other three more blurry one;s, really a briljant shot! Fantastic composition, like it alot!
greets, Lex.

I like this one, the sparse colour palette and nearly abstract quality make this captivating. I would have preferred a more asymetrical positioning of the stamen, but nice shot anyway, best regards Jörg

Lovely results. Very abstract, and the colour is superb.
Maybe the only thing I'd sugest is trying to get a punchier contrast.

More of a macro macro. Stunning yellows with just the bare minimum of the hint of a flower which adds to the maximum effect. Bob
