Hi Petal,
Thanks for your comment! For this shot, what captivated was the center of the bloom being visible, with the more vibrant colors surrounding it. I realize it's unusual (and usually probably undesirable) to get the wilted center, but for this one it allowed the spacing toward the center to be seen more.

Neat shot!!! Beautiful colors, great DOF and crop... well done!!! But.... why did you use a part of that lovely (onion) bloom as a centre that has wilted.... it would've been much nicer as a full 'starburst'.... IMOH that is!!!
