This was shot early morning last winter. The sun reaches a point where it hits the gap in the window and sends a beam of light through it. These are the remains of Egglestone Abbey in Barnard Castle.
Thanks for having a play about with my picture. I always appreciate another persons view. It does work well and the window looks bigger. If you ever come to Teesdale let me know, I'll tell you where to get some great shots!
Thanks for your words, Lorraine. I've been perusing your work, and read your "about", on this one. Sometimes a photogenic opportunity comes along, but your camera just can't see it like you can.
Hope you don't mind, but had a fiddle with this, and tried to make it a "gothic arch", I've enhanced the colours, and straightened, to try and recreate what you may have seen. Not sure if it works.
I must come to Teesdale, it's only 30 mins down the road!
