About I went out to the lake this afternoon to take some photos and was shocked at how much the level of the water has dropped in the last two weeks.

I am attaching an image below of "Sunset Garden", which was taken 6 weeks ago. The logs are the same logs as in the image above. In a way I am hoping I might be able to see the cattle yards and house that are under the water somewhere, but I am also worried as this lake is the only water supply for the entire district.

Actually I took a photo the other day that looks just like Nessie. I am not happy with the quality of it yet, so will delay uploading it. But I thought of you at the time of taking it.

really very nice I love the mood in this shot and the tonalities work really good together (blu from the sky with the cold tonalities of the land). very nice

another stunning image from my preferred extraterrestrial photographer ;-)
..simply wonderful
..about the water level, in the artificial lakes these level fluctuations are quite normal, i can see the same on the big lake near my town, so don't worry!
take care

That's quite a water drop. We've had nothing but rain for the last 4-5 days. Too bad we couldn't give you some.
Again with this picture, you take an ordinary scene and make it fabulously eyecatching.

Another beauty of a shot Judi, I sense your concern about the levels. Isn't this how a dam is used tho, letting some water in or out for specific purposes??

A dam where I used to live also has different things on the bottom from the past too....is interesting.
You don't dive do you? Kita wanted underwater camera housing.......??? Hi Kita!!

A familiar place... Great golden tones... Water levels rise and fall.. It must leave your lake so it can fall as rain somewhere else.. It is the cycle of life...

I hope the drought condition improves!
The photo has a powerful "time stands still" effect. I can almost feel the sun baking my back, and the thirst is growing.... The colors and clarity are quite impressive!

Very beautiful image dear Judi !
Great colors & composition as usual !
Judi I think this is a normal case,
as water level is affected with the
moon periodical stages,
levels rise in full moon &
drop in crescents .
Excellent work my dear .

Don't worry Judi. It looks like there's still plenty of water around.

Hey, nice capture from your favourite location. Nice coloration from the low sun and this is reinforced by some very nice clouds.
