hi rafi.... sorry for not being more specific in my earlier comment. by "slippery slope" what i meant was that if we start uploading photos that are not ours, or that we only do partial work on, then where do we stop? do we begin uploading photos that our friends took or photos that i like that i can download from the internet and so on.
in cases such as this photo of you and your friends, and old family photos (some of which i might upload) then, after reading your comment back to me on my petra photo, i now think it's perfectly acceptable to do so. your idea to acknowledge the original photographer is a good one and takes away any guilt i might feel about uploading a photo i didn't take :>)
i am from canada and at times i wish i could be back there to take more photos as i have very few from my home, but thousands from other countries.
regarding petra, i visited in 1993 and it was just at the sanme time that the border crossing between eilat and aqaba was reopened as i remember. would love to be back there again someday as my photographic skills are much better now.
wishing you all the best ~ james

hi rafael.... a nice photo indeed. i have some similar photos on my computer but have been reluctant to upload them as i'm not the photographer. altho i did edit and repair a lot of these old photos, i'm not so sure i can use them here.... the slippery slope syndrome i suppose. what do you think....?
warmest regards ~ james

Now we know how old you are. ;-) Handsome looking Three Musketeers. Happy bunch. It's always fun to look at photos from the past. I do like what Antonio did to the picture. Someday, I'd like to learn how to do that. Mary
