Hi Larry I've looked at both of these and the shot is good, the dome is nicely framed by the trees. In the other one the cloning is a bit heavy, the cable up the middle just needs a light touch, but the crane is another story. I would use a feathering clone tool with a medium opacity and just work it up slowly. The level adjustment on the other one is really good.
I would love to see a third version of this.

While for myself I always try to keep as much of the original image as possible, I see no reason to not take an image if something is temporarily spoiling a shot and edit it out in post processing. This shot of yours is a perfect example such a situation and your edited image is the superior in my view.
