i grew up in manitoba and am very familiar with this type of scene. i only wish i had been interested in photography when i was a kid so i could capture such scenery. an old abandoned farm building in the middle of nowhere can say a lot. well done and very sharp.....
do you happen to have any photos of grain elevators carol? apparently they're disappearing quickly.

Good work - I would like to see your lighting techniques documented as well. Only suggestion is to go wider if possible - maybe time to buy that 15 mm or new Sigma 10 mm - 20 mm lens...
Might be a nice effect to broaden the detail in the grass leading up to the barn...

I like how you have the barn slightly off to the right and the way the wheat seems to be bending toward the structure. Nice colors also. All and all a very nice composition.

Very nice. I like it. What kind of work (if any) did you do to get the lighting effect? What ever it is, it draws me into the picture.
