Todd, thanks for the commentary. i think your criticisms are right on target. it was a lucky endeavour just getting this shot. i had to stand in front of a macro lens then shoot by remote control, not knowing how my face was framed or what the camera was focusing on. stay cool!

excllent shot Mark...you have cool initials by the way...love the double meaning.
the composition and crop is perfect, as is the shallow DOF.

to get REALLY nit-picky...it seems that your eye is just slightly (ever so slightly)out of the focal point (is that the right term???). Your zygomatic process area seems a little more tightly focused than your eye. i've tried some similar shots and have never gotten this close to perfection....
