Well Billy, thanks to Marcus we now know what this little beastie is all about. Like you, I too would have taken a few shots just for curiosities sake. Nice to know that someone else's mind works along the same lines as mine. Jim Loy would have had some fun with this one as well.

A sandpipe or standpipe is what they use in large buildings to recieve water in case of a fire, this one peice here would be what you see outside the building where the fire truck would connect the hose and get water to the upper floors. makes a very intresting subject sitting there with a sign......
