I had to take a second look, I thought this was my cousin Larry! Very cute shot! This must be a male but the stance of such a testosterone driven sitting/strutting style :)

Quite a bit of humour in this one, James. It seems to be expressing the phrase: "Step into my office" with a nonchallant-looking pose.
Nice shot, and with those warmer-looling tones.

As always James you have done a fantastic composition. I really like how the DOF is perfect to focus the attention on the subject. Also getting him to look straight at the camera.

Thanks for the comment arwa. I've attached a shot of an adult with an infant nursing to give you an idea of the growth stages of baboons. The adult males are a bit larger overall, and have a larger and boxier muzzle too. Both shots were taken in the early morning.

He doesn?t look young at all! He hit me as an old wise head of the tribe monkey?but a small one is size, lol that tells you just how much I know about wild life! The light is wonderful, early morning or overcast day? The composition is very balanced and his eyes are SO sharp and the DOF is just perfect! Wonderful image 7/7
