Darlene this is a beautiful orchid, and you have captured it very nicely, but as soon as I saw it, I saw two little mice faces, [I know I see things everywhere!!!!!!] So please take this as a bit of fun, not as a reflection on your lovely shot, do so hope it makes you smile

Trying out a new field, Darlene?
I like the composition of this photo, with the curving diagonal line. Very nice.
However, there is quite a lot of noise in the image. Was this taken at a very high ISO setting?
Also I am not sure what happened to the colours. The whites look murky and there is no vibrancy in the violets. Was this backlit? Any light bounced back on to the flower? Maybe you need to compensate the exposure because of the very light background.
The flower has so much potential, and I can see you have a lovely lens to use on it. I look forward to more shots of it, as I'm sure they will be better and better.
