Mike, I see you've been busy while I've been away. ;-)

This pic is simply amazing. At first I thought it was Kati, and couldn't recognize her, but then I saw it was someone else.

The lighting, skin tones, background, and the shimmering blue prom dress are just perfect. I don't even mind the skin retouching, even though the under-eye area is gone.

I'd love to see more from this set.

Stunning!!! 7++

Hi Mike
Little Back ground, I have been retouching for about 20 yrs now so take it for what it is. Its all a matter of opinion.
The art of retouching on skin tones is to make changes without affecting common wrinkles. Like under the eyes
and bridge of her nose. Its to smooth. Bring it back a little. Open her eye and bring the bridge in slightly.
Hope this helps.

Joseph,

I'm trying to learn the fine art of Photoshop. If you can be more specific it would be helpful. What is "over the top" about it?

Here is the same picture with just the brightness bumped up, resized and sharpened.

Sally,

To answer your question, both. I did work on the texture of her skin but not much. I'm still playing in Photoshop. She's just a beautiful young lady and a joy to be around. Thanks for your comment.

The skin looks great - have you done anything to it - or has she just got good skin?
