Yes, its a little blurry, but if it's your dark-side you could say you were having problems "taming" it. Throw in a radial blur for more effect around it perhaps? Not sure, but I actually like the blur - feels like one of those horror movies (the ring or something) where you have an extremely fast action and then BAM! a stop screen but only for a split second - right into the camera. That's just my humble opinion - I love the tones and mood you gave it. I think it looks great.

an excellent idea, certainy made me stop and look! a very creative transformation of a human into a mask. the basic core of a "7+" image is there, you just need to work out a couple of tech details.
knowing the model well will play in your favor: you can re-shoot it even better. greater dof will help to make it shaper (also try the unsharp mask in PS, and adding noise for grainy effect, and duotone filters for tonality). also, there are a couple of hot spots that you can eliinate by diffusing the light a bit. and - thanks to a cooperative model, you can watch for a bit more symmetry in the figer position on the forehead. anyway, those aree tech details, but the basic idea is strong; calls for a whole series of images. i am waiting to see the continuation.

Hi Larry, Doesn't everybody have a dark side? Luckily, that's not perogative for an artist, as nobody else would appreciate it...:) Excellent expressive selfportrait with a very strong use of lighting. The mood of dispair and frustration is very powerful.
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Larry - this is a wonderfully dramatic shot. It is fuzzy but since your model is likely willing to re-pose, you should be able to do this one over... :) I really enjoy your "body" shots, you have a way of seeing that intrigues me. Amy

Hi Larry. A very frightening selfportrait ;-) I'm surprised, you seemed like such a nice guy in the comment you left on my latest photo *hehe* The blur is probably caused by uploading a photo larger than the 800x800px usefilm supports. Larger photos are rezised automatically, and sharpness often greatly suffers from that process. Besides the blur, I think I would have liked a tad more light on the lower face, on my screen your mouth is completely surrounded by total darkness. But its a very expressive selfportrait, kudos for that!
Regards,
Lars

Hei!...horror style, really frightening! Excellent dramatic portrait very well conceived and presented. The simmetry enhances the mood very well and those dodged eyes are really penetrating. Congrats, Larry; many thanks for your comment and sorry for being so late but time is always few lately for me. Regards, Paolo

hi, thanks parvin. I was disappointed after uploading the image that it is quite blurry... maybe I had a little trouble with the focus as I shot that in my room with no lights. Didnt notice the final outcome until recently. Anyway, thanks again for your comment. Appreciate it so much!.
