That's a really cool idea. My first impression was 'wow, it looks like everything in the photo is made of marble!' I think it works really well. Although, to me it seems it needs more grain. I'm not sure exactly how Paul Stiles does it, but his grunge photos have that really intense, gritty look. Good job on the photo, though. It looks great.

Well done for a first attempt. Do a search on Google for Photoshop grunge brushes - you can do some nice grunge effects with them but there are good ones and bad ones so you have to play with them
