About This was hilarious!! A peacock, (alas, a little lacking in the tail department!), spotted this balloon making its way towards his harem of four peahens!! I was hoping he'd attack it so that I could capture his surprise when it exploded, but he didn't! He just 'escorted it' off his patch then returned to his girlfriends!!

I hope it's given you a smile!

Best regards to all,

Chris

What a coincidence, I also often feel threatened by orange balloons...
Great comical shot. I bet that baloon wont try that again, and the girls are swooning that he protected them from the scary invader. "Our hero!"
Well done Chris.

Thanks for the warning, Jim!
Actually, I took both cameras out yesterday evening and both are doing fine.
I'm particularly pleased with the 18-70 zoom that came with my new one.
Best regards, Chris

Sure makes those tail feather come up. Had him excited for a while. Great capture. What a great sense of humor in the other picture. Just like a man, thinking at least once a minute or more about things that matter. Don.

Great shot chris, I like the look of confusion the bird has, kind of looks like he is going to kick it for a field goal, I guess he didnt want any confrontation with all the girls waiting :)
nice capture...
