Hey Pat, its all good. I want constructive criticism to learn from. It's the other stuff that gets me...
Anyway, I noticed that the picture looked crooked after I posted it. Uuuugh! As for the angle I was at?! I did that on purpose. ha! I do things out of the norm, or can you tell, as always. Just never been one to go with rule of thumb stuff. Some yes, some no.
Anyway, I do appreciate the comment and your help and it will, hopefully, make me better as time goes on. Thanks for looking also!
Ok, now I have to ask. How did you fix it so it doens't look so crooked? You are a magical man aren't you?
I like the composition but it is completely crooked.
Whenever u take a shot like this u must never get too close to it. U should step back as much as possible and zoom in if necessary. Otherwise u will get distortion from the wide angle. Also, try to line up the horizontal edges with your viewfinder's top edge or LCD display, that way u will always know if your picture is straight or not. One more thing. In this case, the painting is the center of the image. Try to put yourself at its height so there will be no perspective on the shot like it is on this image. I can tell you were lower than u should have been, therefore causing the unwanted pyramid shape of the whole picture. Try to get on a step or a stool and line yourself up at the height of the center of the frame. It will work better.
I fixed it for you, but I think u should try it again... Hope u understand my comment and don't take it the wrong way.
