As it is the flag being the main subject, why not put it fully in the frame? Furthermore the flag now covers a part of the left lamp cutting down on the symetry of the frame. Finally, I think the window in the background shouldn't be in the frame as it is only disrupting the composition. (think of only the red brick wall as background and you can imagine a more tranquile image that would underline the 'small town' subject) or the window should be beside the lamps and flag as to accentuate the rural aspect.
