Another fine shot of this most attractive subject. I'm going to have to get out and search out some examples of my own. Thanks for the nice thoughts and for demonstrating some worthwhile possibilities . . . Regards, --George

Larry, another way instead of using Brightness and Contrast is to use Levels which in PS is found in Adjustments with B&C. I did this using Levels, it took just a few seconds. Den

Increasing your ISO does give you more light and a faster speed ability, but it does increase your noise. You have to weigh up which one you want.
There is a magic wand in PSP 9. It is under your selection tools on the left of your screen.

Judi buddy,
Does PSP 9 have this Magic Wand Margaret refers to, or somethimng of the like? I used brightness and contrast, and yes I know have noise, but trying the 1600 iso thing.......you think noise is too much to make a picture usuable? Margaret did get this brighter..... these three actually??
Larry
Give it to me straight friend!! :-))

Hi Larry, The Magic Wand is a tool in Photoshop which is used for selecting parts of an image of a given colour. Once the main part is selected other parts can also be added if needed. Having completed the selection that part can be edited at will. Not had experience of PSP9 so don't know if there is an equivalent tool there. Margaret

Larry in answer to your question have done more or less the same on this one, used brightness and contrast to lighten up. I then did the magic wand on the bird and did a bit of red colour balance. DId another little sharpen before posting back to you Margaret
