Thank you Angelo for your constructive comment. I am sorry that I do not know the name of the birds but I will find out. The palm leaf, which is filled with sugar, and the birds are in the shadow of a tree and without the flash were silhouettes. I took shots both ways. Also, I was learning to use the NIKON D70 and I've made a lot of mistakes. Cheers, Andree

What a lovely troupe of birds, Andree. Do you know their popular or scientific name?
The photo is lovely for getting so many of them together. The flash is quite noticeable, though and seems to have exposed for the wooden branch. The birds turned out a bit dark.
