I'm impressed with the picture, (especially the expression on the cats face and the framing of the eyes) I'm very impressed with the camera's lack of noise - I'll have to start saving my pennies! ;~}

Larry--The answer is Canon 20D. My 10D was OK at 400, but a bit noisy beyond that . I'll soon post some other shots taken at that rating with the 20D in the same time frame, including a couple of objects that I think look very good. I double-checked the exif data to be sure the exposures were at 800 (the camera is still quite new to me). Thanks for the interest and your good questions. I do appreciate it. -g

Very cool shot George, the anticipation in the eyes, and crouch, very well expressed. Most anything I have done in 800 ISO has been too full of grain/noise? What magical tool are you using to overcome it??
