You are right, lichen would have been too much obvious ;) It is a plant very suitable for macro shots, its branches are very interesting, only I think you should use a darker background, not necessarily black, to create more contrast with the lichen color, in my opinion of course :) Thankx for your comment, I?m glad you noticed the ear ring ;) I decided not to remove it.
