Personally I prefer the color one... Children rarely suit B&W images in my opinion as with B&W you never really get a true feel of the healthy glow colour of their skin that alludes to their vitality... Lovely candid shot Elizabeth...well done!!!

I like this one very much. Yes I prefer the color version over the B&W even though I'm a fan of B&W portrait (as you can see from my portfolio).
Let me start by saying this is avery nice photo. I like her pose and the light creates an interesting mood. Wondnerful portrait. But I really like the colors here. The skin tones are excelent and it feels like she is stitting right there. I don't get the same feeling from the B&W version.
I think it might be worth to lighten up the peeking eye a little. It is almost hinnten in the dark.

Thanks for your comment Ray. I think I am leaning toward the color version as well.

Elizabeth, I like this image better in the color version, the colored skin tones seem to add quite a bit to the composition. Great image and excellent title, the window light is nice and soft and the use of a simple background creates a situation where the viewer is not distracted by anything and places all attention on the main subject. Just some random thoughts. Reguards, Ray W.
