Hi Dale, This is adorable. I don't think it needs to be lightened. the dark background allows for her to pop out, & if you lighten her anymore, I think you might lose some detail. you can try a sepia tone ...that would add warmth..but i really like this portrait as is. :)

I prefer this one over the colored. This one's soft as the girls face and emotions. It is more dramatic and conveys more thoughts to the viewers. No need to lighten up, this is already great. Wonderful job again, Dale! rgrds, Larry
