Debbie,
This just popped up on Randoms... stunning. They do look like liquid gold children, and the expression on their faces are so intent. Nice capture! What was the red highlights from?

Good god, beautiful Debbie. I can usually cook up some nonsense about how to improve images, but you've got me this time. Cropping, light, angle, perspective - Al hit it on the head - this shot's alive.

Chris I didn't do anything really mysterious with the flash. Just tried to make sure my camera was level with the statue set on a tripod, camera set at f/22...Using the 2nd sync curtain flash feature (which by the way seems to help control red eye) and the shutter if I remember was 10 sec so I used the timer so as to not be touching it when the shutter went off. You do know that with the rebel if you use manual modes you just flip the flash up and it will go off for you at any time you want it to?

Thank you Altaf..I only cropped from camera view. Nothing from PS. This was my favorite as well. You just made my day!

Of the series debbie this one is my favorite because of the way you cropped it and the sculpture you chose. This one is really alive.

Thank you all for your comments. I liked this one the best as well. Just loved how the bronze..that's what they were cast in..came out looking like liquid gold.

My favourite of the three posts, the closeup brings the statue to life. The angle of view you have selected and the colours you have captured make this image your own. I'm sure the artist would be gratified to have you honour their work in this fashion.

Debbie, this is beautiful. The artist should be very proud.
Dynamite exposure.

Fun shots, Debbie! This is my favorite of the three. There are some similar statues of children outside a local hospital, I'll try to take some sometime to show you. I like the warmth in the tones in this one.

Debbie I like this angle. They look almost life like. Sort of spooky in a way! I think this is a strong image and the best of these three statue posts. Remember though that I like odd angles. :)
