Great work Chris...this has many enjoyable aspects. In particular, the single yellow-ish 'S' against the blue sky is very nicely done. The bird adds an extra dynamic, but I think is probably unecessary given the great play on lighting w/ the weathervane and sky,

A first I didn't like the black spot near the gull, so I wiped my screen off ;-) Do I see PS work around the S ? If so very good, otherwise very good also.
Has a kind of spooky flavor to me

The funny thing is, Merete, the bird was absolutely sharp when I first put it in the picture, but I felt I wanted a sense of movement so I added some 'motion blur' in PS!!  )

great colours. the bird would not be neccessary in my eyes in this, the arrow and the letters, the cropping and the framing are "good enough" for a great picture imho.
