Outstanding shot !
So many things could be said on this picture. The compostion reminds me the "renaissance" in painting : it's like a biblical scene (with many degrees of understanding)...
P.S : this is the texan flag on the guy ? ( I'm french :) ...)

This is an amazing picture. My eyes zoom to the SS tattoo on the "racist's" shoulder, which designates him as such in perpetuity, right above which is the protecting black woman's bosom clothed in "USA". Extraordinary interplay of symbolism, extraordinary photograph -- it's the "non-racists" who are the violent ones.

mark, this image is incredible, how much more decisive can you get in one moment! hopefully this moment changed that mans life for the better.. Thanks for telling the story it puts a lot of light on the situation. on a lighter side, it appears as though he may have slipped on the banana peel:)

This is really an outstanding and powerful photo. You caught the mood exactly as it was happening in its purity. I wonder, if this was a life changing moment for this racist on the ground being protected by the person he probably hates. Hopefully it was. Superior work!
