About This was more an experiment on trying to resize an image to 800 pixels, from a raw image to see if I could get better clarity with the upload. Any thought or comments?

Looks pretty clear to me. Once you resize to 800 pixels, do you use PS "save for web" feature? I use that, and it seems to give me good results.

BTW, this is where I want to be.

It looks marvellous Rebecca - I also struggle with resizing and trying to retain the sharpness but you have done brilliantly here.

The Shell "gasoline" emblem on the barn brings back memories also ;-)

Wonderful photograph !

Best wishes,
Steve

Very beautiful scene and colors Rebecca, it does look clean to me. I guess the resizing for upload from RAW is the cleanest. The more you save to JPEG, the less quality the image will get. For non-raw images, the image is compressed with some loss of qulaity at least 2 times, one by camera then by you.

Rebecca, I love your rural Va. postings. I knew it was yours from the thumbnail before I saw your name. You do an outstanding job on these scenes and this is no exception. Del.

Very nice, Rebecca - I love the perfectly consistent tones and texture of the hills in the background!
Resizing always decreases sharpness, no matter what the source - I usually re-sharpen my images after resize for this reason.

Another classic Virginia country scene! Love the hills in the background. Looks sharp to me Rebecca, but is tough to compare.

Alison, I did have a polarizer on this day. This was taken the same day as the Gateway. It's actually about a mile down the road. I have been just resizing mine to less than 360 megs and uploading. Maybe this is why they so often are so noisy. Thanks for the continued comments and support.

This looks great to me, all of mine go on at 800 pixels . did you use a polarizer on this photo? A great classic landscape and beautifully taken leading us in through the winding road. Alison
