Hi Dave, I take i tthat you are a Canuck too. I came to Canada in 1956 and rememeber that the Studebaker, while not the most popular car, was certainly a frequent vehicle on the road. It did not take long to swallow up these famous old companies as had done did in UK also. Re. this one. please see the note to John Robertson below. Regards, Alan M.

Hi John, I would to see what else this gent has got in his barns. He lives down in an area called Elgin in the very sout west corner of Quebec about a mile from the NY State border. He is apparently an ex school teacher and owns a farm that he does not work. In his barn and in the field on the other side of the rural road, he has other ancient vehicles, tractors (very old) a few cars, and pickup trucks. He travels to foreign parts every year, North Africa I think. He calls himself 'Rasputin' although he seems not to exhibit any of that particular character. The Edsel is near the Studebaker ann a '56 Ford station wagon. I also discovered a 1922 Franklin car body one day when passing by, it was because it was March and the weeds and grass had not yet grown up so as to hide this ancient relic. I think there is a shot of this too from a few months ago on my Usefilm offeings. I would really like to me of his collection, he said that he has a steam tractor. the whole place is run down, dilapidated, young vandals invade his property when he is away and the Quebec Povincial Ploice do not pay too much attention to complaints like that, they are more interested in the drug running that is carried on at the border of NY and that that goes on through the Indian reservation that sits astride the line and the St-Lawrence. Kindest, Alan M. Alan M.

Lovely shot of the four wheeled Studebaker "wurlitzer" They don't make em like that any more, at least they tried to be different unlike todays boring clone cars!

These cars are getting very rare. I'll bet if this is for sale, the asking price will be high. Andre

Hermosa foto para un auto clásico y de colección.
Una pena el estado de abandono del auto.
